Seoul, South Korea— In celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the opening of the Blue House, special events that bring together South Korea's culture and arts have been prepared. This May and June, the Blue House will host a variety of cultural events ranging from Children's Day Kids Concerts to KBS Open Music Concerts, Traditional Arts Festivals, Spring Jazz Celebrations, and Opera Gala Concerts.
Special Exhibition 'Handshake of Summit, Promise of Freedom'— From May 1 to July 29, a special exhibition connecting Korea's past and present will be held in the main building of the Blue House. This exhibition highlights South Korea's status as a cultural powerhouse, based on records of diplomacy over the past two years.
Diverse Performances and Experiential Events— The Blue House Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism have prepared multi-art and performance events to present the Blue House as a new cultural space, considering its historical symbolism. Visitors can take commemorative photos in a photo zone with full-body portraits generated by AI technology or experience interactive media art.
International Cooperation— The 'Ukraine Children's Drawing Exhibition,' organized in cooperation after President Yoon Suk-yeol's visit to Ukraine, is also noteworthy. This exhibition displays over 150 drawings by Ukrainian children, capturing their hopes even amid war.
Special Services for Foreign Visitors— In response to the increasing number of foreign visitors, the Blue House Foundation has expanded multilingual services and improved the reservation system to allow more people to enjoy the events.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Blue House Foundation announced plans to continue developing the Blue House as a complex cultural and art space that evolves with the citizens. This event is expected to be a significant milestone in creating new cultural values and identity for the Blue House together with the public.
