These are spearheaded by the Jeju 4·3 Peace Foundation, with the collaboration of diverse entities under the Jeju 4·3 Nationwide Committee’s guidance. The program encompasses various initiatives, including the establishment of a commemorative area in Seodaemun Independence Park, a homage ceremony at Cheonggye Plaza, and a cinematic celebration at the Roh Moo-hyun Civic Center. The homage ceremony is slated for April 6th, while the cinematic celebration will unfold from April 12th to 14th. These gatherings aim to deepen the collective comprehension of the Jeju 4·3 Incident’s historic significance, thereby disseminating the ideals of peace and unity further.
