SEVENTEEN and UNESCO Open Doors of Hope in East Timor

by BMPLUS 2024. 5. 14.

SEVENTEEN + UNESCO

K-pop group SEVENTEEN, in collaboration with the UNESCO Korea Committee, has launched two community learning centers in East Timor through their 'Going Together' campaign. These centers offer education in computer skills, sewing, Korean, and English, providing learning opportunities annually to 300 individuals from underserved communities.

Initiated in 2022, the campaign is supported by proceeds from SEVENTEEN's world tour and sales of the 'Bongbongie' font. At the UNESCO Youth Forum, SEVENTEEN emphasized that "education transforms an individual, whose dreams can then change the world."

The opening of these learning centers goes beyond simple philanthropy, laying the groundwork for sustainable change. The collaboration between SEVENTEEN and UNESCO serves as a successful example of a global campaign, proving that positive change in the world can be achieved through education. Join SEVENTEEN's journey now and help ignite the flame of hope.
