The Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will host the "2024 Korea Season" in France for six months, starting in May 2024. This event is organized in conjunction with the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics and will introduce Korean culture across various cities in France. The key points are as follows:

 

Event Opening:

• The "2024 Korea Season" will kick off at the Châtelet Theater in Paris with a joint breakdancing performance by Korean and French teams. The performance will feature Korea's 1MILLION and France's Pockemon Crew in a breakdancing battle format.

 

Diverse Programs:

• The 34 programs span various fields, including performances, exhibitions, crafts, tourism, and content. Key highlights include traditional Korean world music performances, K-Classics, original operas, performances by the National Contemporary Dance Company, ceramics exhibitions, media art exhibitions, K-Book special exhibitions, and a K-Content Expo.

 

Korea House:

• During the Paris Olympics, the "Korea House" will showcase Korean cultural content, offering opportunities to experience Korean music, dramas, films, beauty, tourism, literature, traditional culture, and ballet.

 

Korea-France Future Generation Exchange:

• There will also be a Korea-France Future Generation Exchange Program, where students from the French National School of Fine Arts (ENSA de Bourges) will collaborate with their Korean counterparts in creating artistic works.

 

Objective:

• This event aims to introduce Korea's diverse culture to visitors, including athletes and tourists from around the world, and to promote cultural exchange between Korea and France.
