Discovering Han River's Heritage The "Han River Historical Tour" program offers an immersive journey, blending sightseeing and education to showcase the vibrant history and cultural assets of the Han River. It invites both locals and tourists to experience and appreciate the riverbank through guided tours and interactive activities, thereby invigorating the historical culture of the Han River.

 

Tour Highlights

Visitors embark on pre-planned routes, each focusing on different aspects of the Han River and its surroundings. With 16 daytime and 2 nighttime courses, participants can explore the river's heritage through various themes.

 

Gwangnaru Course: Explores the river's origins and its wartime history, traversing sites like the Hanam Wiryeseong, Domi Statue, and Gwangjingyo 8-ga.

Songpa Naru Course: Focuses on urban development, visiting sites like Samjeondo Monument, Seokchon Lake, and Songpa Naru Monument.

Ttukseom Naru Course: Delves into the foundation of the Joseon Dynasty and timber trade, visiting areas like Jeongwanwon, Majo-dan, and Salgoji Bridge.

Nodel Naru Course: Honors Confucian ideals, covering spots like Hyosajeong, the Student Soldiers Memorial, and Sa-yuk-shin Park.

Dongjakjin Course: Highlights the history of Dongjakjin, visiting Dongjak Naru Marker and the National Cemetery.

 

Additional Day Courses: The remaining routes include diverse themes such as the Miracle of the Han River (Yeoui Naru Course), the influx of foreign culture (Yanghwa Naru Course), and much more.

 

Night Courses:

  • Banpo Moonlight Course: Offers scenic views of the skyline, featuring spots like Seorae Island, Sebitseom, and the Banpo Bridge.
  • Yeoui Starlight Course: Tours through Yeouido Park, Mapo Bridge, and the Water Stage.
