From May 31 to June 2, 2024, the 'Hwaseong Boating Festival' will take place at Jeongok Port in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi-do. This festival combines maritime sports and culture, making it the largest of its kind in the metropolitan area. During the day, the festival offers experiences such as sailing yachts, powerboats, and luxury yachts, and introduces a new sea fishing experience. At night, dazzling music events like EDM NIGHT light up the West Sea.
A highlight of the festival is the 'Wind Envoy Dance Performance,' featuring a competition among citizen performance teams inspired by the envoys of the Silk Road trade routes. Additional programs include marine plogging, exploring Hwaseong fishing villages, and traditional fish trapping experiences, providing participants with various experiential and educational opportunities.
