Gapyeong Saturday Live" (G-SL)

Gapyeong County is on the brink of becoming a cultural and musical epicenter. With an ambitious plan to breathe new life into its economy and polish its reputation as a musical metropolis, the county is captivating audiences by providing complimentary access to premium music events for those supporting local businesses. This season's "Gapyeong Saturday Live" (G-SL) concerts are poised to launch on April 6, promising both locals and tourists an invigorating and restorative adventure.

The inaugural G-SL series witnessed an impressive gathering of about 15,000 attendees across its span, invigorating Gapyeong's economic scene. Leveraging last year's triumph, the county has unveiled plans to orchestrate 12 grand musical festivals throughout the year, with the festivities evenly split to adorn both halves of the year.

These musical rendezvous are set to grace the Gapyeong Music Village Station 1939, a dynamic cultural hub dedicated to the celebration of music. The initiative allows anyone who's spent a minimum of 10,000 won locally within the past week to enjoy the concerts without cost, fostering a symbiotic relationship between local merchants and patrons while underscoring Gapyeong's dedication to cultural enrichment through such events.

The season's inaugural show will set the stage ablaze with street performances and picnic-style concerts by local talents, paving the way for acclaimed artists like Lyn, the celebrated "Queen of OST," and Im Han Byul, a balladeer par excellence. The G-SL festival, brimming with eclectic cultural offerings and a stellar artist lineup, is anticipated to radiate the vivacity of spring, spreading joy and solace among its audience.

In a broader scope, Gapyeong County is curating an array of performances and festivals across its townships, including the 21st edition of the "Jarasum Jazz Festival," further cementing its stature as a bastion of musical culture. These initiatives are aimed at morphing Gapyeong into a haven of music and culture, thereby attracting an even larger influx of tourists and potential residents.

With an eye on presenting unique and varied cultural experiences, Gapyeong County assures timely updates on upcoming performances through the KakaoTalk channel of Music Station 1939. These endeavors are anticipated to play a pivotal role in the cultural flourishment and economic resurgence of the region.
