In April, the spring breeze is blowing and there's exciting news for campers and nature lovers everywhere. The 3rd Global Outdoor Camping Fair (GOCF), which will be held on Jara Island in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, is just around the corner.
All things camping at GOCF
The event will take place from April 19th to 21st on Jara Island, South Korea's leading ecotourism destination. Sponsored by Gapyeong County and the Gapyeong County Campground Association, the fair is a great opportunity to see the year's outdoor and camping trends and brands in one place.
The event has been expanded from last year and will be held in the center of Jara Island. With more than 150 unique camping-related vendors, campers will have plenty to see and buy. The event will be divided into exhibition booths, sales booths, and food booths, and Seodo will be decorated as a branded camping zone.
A colorful program for the eyes and ears
On April 20, there will be a variety of performances, including DJ performances and artists with sweet voices such as Min Kyung-hoon and HYNN (Park Hye-won). Campers and visitors can experience a special night of music in the beautiful nature of Gapyeong.
In addition, a local receipt event will be held three times during the event. Visitors will have the opportunity to win great prizes by bringing in their receipts from purchases made within the Gapyeong area during the event.
GOCF opens a new chapter in camping culture
This year, GOCF has moved from Seodo to Jungdo on Zara Island, allowing more camping-related vendors to participate and campers to browse and purchase a wider variety of camping-related items. According to the event organizers, GOCF plans to develop into the largest camping fair in Korea, attracting not only domestic campers but also overseas campers.
