On April 28, 2024, the 1st National K-Food Kimbap Competition will be held at the Suwon Convention Center in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, and will be a fierce competition between local and international contestants. Gyeonggi Province is accepting entries until April 7, and the competition is open to all Koreans and foreigners, including those born in 2008. Entries can be made through the official website of the Gimbapdae, and details can be obtained from the competition management office or the Gyeonggi-do Agriculture and Food Distribution Division.
The competition will begin on April 11 with a preliminary round to select 30 teams, and the main round on April 28 will feature on-site demonstrations and judging to determine the best teams. The winning team will receive the Gyeonggi-do Governor's Award and a cash prize of KRW 3 million.
