Stray Kids will be participating in a Japanese drama OST for the first time since their debut. They will release their OST "WHY?" on April 12, and the song will be used as the OST for Fuji TV's Thursday drama Re:Revenge - At the End of Desire. The drama is a suspense genre centered around the protagonist's ambition and revenge, and STRAY KIDS' music is expected to match the mood of the show.
"WHY?" was written by Stray Kids members Bangchan, Changbin, and Han, who are part of the production team 3RACHA. The song depicts the various obstacles encountered on the way to a goal with dystopian imagery and powerful sounds. The members said they are excited about this as it is their first OST participation in a Japanese drama, and they tried to express the inner conflicts and adventures of the drama's main character through the lyrics. "WHY?" will be officially released after the drama's first episode airs.
In addition, STRAY KIDS will be holding their first offline fan event in Japan, and in the summer, the group will be headlining major music festivals in Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States to meet with global fans. Through these activities, STRAY KIDS is expected to gain a wider fan base both at home and abroad, further solidifying their position as a leading K-pop group.
