This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Korean Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, celebrated through a special exhibition from April 19 to September 8 at Venice's Maltese Knights Monastery. Deputy Minister Jeon Byeong-guk from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened the event, which reflects on three decades of Korean art's global journey.
The exhibition, themed "Every Island is a Mountain," showcases works from 36 artist teams since the pavilion's inception in 1995. It highlights the evolution of Korean art and its impact on the international stage, emphasizing a fusion of historical and contemporary perspectives. The Venice Biennale, including this pivotal Korean exhibit, runs until November 24, offering a unique exploration of art's sensory and spatial dimensions.
