Goyang City and Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province are introducing a new Culture & Arts Pass for young adults. This is a special program to provide 19-year-olds with more opportunities to participate in cultural activities, with the aim of revitalizing local culture and arts and helping young people experience a variety of arts.
What is the Young Adult Cultural Pass?
The program provides a grant of $150,000 each to 19-year-olds born in 2005 to support cultural activities. The money can be used to attend a variety of fine arts performances and exhibitions, including theater, classical music, opera, ballet, and national music, and is available until the end of this year.
How to apply
Applications will open on March 28 at 10am, and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget is exhausted. All 19-year-olds, regardless of income, can apply via the websites or mobile apps of our partners Interpark and Yes24.
Eligibility and benefits
A total of 3,468 young adults in Goyang City and 4,726 in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province are eligible for the program. The subsidy consists of 100,000 won in national expenses and 50,000 won in local expenses, and the local expenses will be paid at a later date.
