- Register online from April 30 via the DMZ Walk website (www.dmzwalk.com) and Durunubi app.
The government is set to unveil 10 themed routes across the DMZ from May 13, offering an immersive experience of the area’s unique ecological, cultural, and historical assets. These routes, situated in strategic locales like Incheon's Ganghwa and Gyeonggi's Gimpo, among others, highlight the distinct characteristics of each region, blending controlled vehicle travel with segments of guided walks.
Visitors can explore pristine natural landscapes and learn about local history through engaging stories from area residents and guides. Key routes include the Ganghwa Peace Observatory, Gimpo Hangang Estuary-Aegibong, and the Hwacheon Baekmagoji courses.
This initiative, led by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with multiple governmental agencies, aims to foster sustainable economic growth and promote security tourism within these historically rich border areas.
